At 8 a.m. on October 12, after 26 days of intensive construction, the Bihu River Traffic Steel Bridge Project on Shanhe Island in Yangzhou city was completed.
Affected by the 9.10 collision accident, the Bihu Bridge was broken by a cargo ship and seriously damaged, which brought great inconvenience to the island residents and potential safety hazards to the passing vessels. Under the command and coordination of Yangzhou municipal departments, China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group CO., LTD. immediately held a deployment meeting for rescue work to discuss the rescue and reconstruction plan. In view of the tight construction period and heavy tasks of the project, based on years of trust in Xingtu, China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group CO., LTD. finally selected Xingtu bridge as a partner.
Bihu River traffic steel bridge is a temporary trestle project. The north bank connects Shanhe Island and the south bank connects Wantou Town. The design length of the traffic steel bridge is 222 meters, the total width of the bridge is 12 meters, the net width of the bridge deck is 8 meters, and the maximum span is 36 meters. It will become the only access to ensure the daily travel of residents in Shanhe Island.
The traffic steel bridge adopts the structure of "steel pipe pile foundation + through truss beam". Using XT300 Truss to replace the traditional bailey plate superstructure not only reduces the use of steel to reduce the weight, but also improves the overall structural strength of the traffic steel bridge. The distribution beam is paved with a special bridge deck and coated with a special anti-skid coating, which has a large friction coefficient and improves the vehicle grip. At the same time, the anti-skid coating also has the function of reducing tire noise. The bridge deck and distribution beam are fixed with special spring clamps, which effectively play the role of cushioning, shock absorption and noise reduction.
The completion of the traffic steel bridge reflected the achievements of Xingtu in team management, manufacturing, innovation and R & D over the years. Since the official commencement on September 17, each participant of Xingtu has worked hard and devoted themselves to this work. After 26 days, they finally ended the life of villagers in Shanhe Village who had to rely on ferry to cross the river every day and were inconvenient to drive and transport goods.
